Running this Motor
This is a single-phase 230V motor and runs directly from a standard single-phase supply — no inverter or additional starting equipment is required.
It uses a capacitor start, capacitor run (high torque) design, with both a start capacitor and a run capacitor fitted, giving a higher starting torque than a permanent capacitor motor. This makes it suitable for harder-starting loads such as compressors, pumps, augers and conveyors.
Need to vary the speed? Single-phase motors of this type cannot be speed controlled by an inverter. Where speed control is required we recommend a three-phase motor run from a 230V single-phase input inverter: 230V Input Inverters .
