What is a B35 or Foot & Face Mounted Motor?

B35 motors or 'Foot and Flange Mounted' as they are sometimes referred to, are mounted using both foot mounting and the equivalent to a B5 mount. These are combined to offer the flexibility of using a set of slide rails or a slide base. They also allow for the mounting of pumps without using extra support for the appliance fixed to the front of the motor. The face of the motor is usually much larger than the external diameter of the motor's frame; it will sometimes be machined, but more often will be a cast plate with only the outer section machined for fitting.
