What is a B34 or Foot & Face Mounted Motor?
B34 motors or 'Foot and Face Mounted' as they are sometimes referred to, are mounted using both foot mounting and the equivalent to a B14 mount. These are combined to offer the flexibility of using a slide base, but also to allow you to mount gearboxes or other accessories from the front of the motor itself. The face is usually slightly smaller than the external diameter of the frame of the motor and there is sometimes a spigot on the face itself.
These face-mounted motors will normally be used on pumps and fans.
