ACDC Drives have a fully operational panel build shop. We specialise in automation and integration and can design and build high quality panels to spec. Using the latest available software, we can provide full traceability and flexibility throughout the build process. Our standard build Control Panels are built to the highest standards and can be supplied with CE approval, or ISO certified.

We can build any panel you require, of any size, whether it be 20 of the same panel or a simple one-off. Some of our standard builds are listed below. These can be supplied on a very quick lead time as we keep the components on the shelf.

Control Panels | What Do You Offer?

Our panels can consist of very simple enclosed inverter drives with lamps and switches mounted on the exterior, right the way through to systems consisting of several panels mounted within shipping containers that can be mounted anywhere.

Can You Build Control Panels From My Drawing?

Yes, we can. We can build one off Control Panels from a drawing provided by you, whether this be a hand drawn diagram, or a CAD file. We have also been involved with Projects where multiple Panels have to be built to spec and delivered in stages. Large, small, one off or production run, we can build the panel for you.

Can You Include PLC’s Or HMI’s In Control Panels?

We have specialist engineers and programmers with a wealth of experience with both Siemens and VIPA PLCs. We can incorporate PLC comms into any Panel we build. We can supply HMI’s and also design attractive interfaces that work with Inverters and PLC’s within the panel.

Renewable Energy Systems

With constant advancement being made with renewable energy sources and more and more people moving to support greener technology, regenerative systems are becoming far more prevalent within industry. ACDC Drives have substantial experience designing and building regenerative systems whether it be hydro-power, wind energy or solar. We have designed and commissioned several wind turbine systems, with control panels being built within containers to be situated in the remote locations that wind farms tend to be situated.

Sometimes a new control panel is the easiest way forward as the age means almost all of the DC drive panel components need replacing. These panels are designed to order and made to fit into your machine specification with the right control features. Panels can be made to BS/EN60204 if required. Below is an example of a DC extruder drive panel incorporating controls mounted on the door with duplicated controls to the terminals at the bottom of the Panel. We are able to visit a site and design this around your machine so all the old interfacing cables match up and the drive panel is sized correctly for the DC motor.

New plastic extruders generally come with AC motors and inverter drives instead of the traditional DC system set up. AC motors require less maintenance and have a better power factor when used with a 3 phase inverter. It is common instead of repairing a DC motor is to have it replaced with an AC motor and inverter.
